There’s a been a lot of fuss about this Reebok advert and I completely agree that it’s not a nice message and cynical in the extreme
but why has this had so much coverage?
A lot of people really do seem to be worked up about it. I wonder if it would have made a difference if they’d run a version for women too? ‘Cheat on your boyfriend, not your workout’?
Radar Online (not a ‘publication’ I was familiar with) apparently got hold of an “exclusive” letter sent to Reebok by CheaterVille, a website ‘dedicated to calling out cheaters all across the world’:
“This form of advertising shows a dishonest and disrespectful attitude towards women and your company should be ashamed to have even placed this ad in various places thinking it would be perceived in any other way”
